RECRUITMENT TIPS

#1

Take advantage of Meet the Greeks! This is the only night of recruitment where you don’t have to stay in a room for a specific amount of time. Make sure you go around to every organization but if you make connections with some more than other definitely go back and talk to as many sisters are possible!

#4

Be open minded! It’s normal to think that you have it all figured out even before you meet all sororities. Make sure you give every organization a chance because you never know who you’ll fit in best with unless you give them all a chance!

#7

Be nice to everyone. Be sure to make an effort with every sorority because you never know who knows who. Even if an organization isn’t the right fit for you make sure to be respectful to everyone. We’re a small community with friends in every organization!

#2

Don’t be afraid to show that you’re interested in a sorority! If you know any specifics about they they do don’t be afraid to bring it up in conversation, it shows sisters that you’re interested in them!

#5

If you can, bring water! You’ll be talking for three hours straight, and believe us you’re going to wish you brought water! You want to make sure you have the same amount of energy in every room to get the most out of every night.

#8

Looks past the glitz and glamour. Every sorority want to give the best first impression, but make sure to look for like-minded woman around you. Remember to be yourself and really see if you want to be friends with these people for a lifetime!

#3

Wear clothes you’re comfortable and confident in. Have your outfits picked out in advance and be sure that you’re comfortable standing and sitting in what you’re wearing. In most rooms you’ll be sitting for the majority of the time so make sure you’re comfortable in any kind of situation!

#6

Take notes after every room! Write down anything you liked or disliked about each room, it will be extremely useful for preference night! Reading your notes before you cross any sororities off your list will help with your decision.

#9

Make your own decision. Be sure to pick the sorority that you want, not what others are telling you. These are the people who you’re going to spend the majority of your college experience with so make sure you’re confident with your choice!
